The engineers at Richter Associates have vast expertise in the engineering of in-house bridge design for both permanent and associated temporary works covering a variety of projects.
Their experience stretches from simple masonry structures to highly complex multi-span viaducts in both concrete and steel. It includes consideration and understanding of frequently complex interaction between the bridge and the associated temporary works through all stages of construction, including the use of both under and over slung erection gantries, incremental launching and balanced cantilever erection templates.
We are familiar with the preparation of Approval in Principle documents and design check certification as and when required. In addition, we are frequently engaged to provide independent checking of contractors’ construction proposals and carry out Category III checks of permanent works for both road and rail projects.
With this background of bridge design and construction it means we can address most such related problems. Our engineers can offer practical advice on alternative designs and appropriate construction methods. Through our experience we were proud to be able to save one contractor time and money and enable him to win the tender for a complex project on time and, most importantly, within budget.
