We would like to congratulate Steven Benton IEng MICE, Senior Engineer of the 48.3 Gateshead office on recently passing his Incorporated Professional Review with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Prior to joining the business in November 2020, Steven worked for Altrad as a Trainee Design Engineer, before moving onto Kaefer in 2019 where he became a Senior Design Engineer.

Something he has wanted to achieve his whole working career, Steven started the journey to his Professional Review about two years ago. When we caught up with him, Steven said,

“The help and support I have received whilst at 48.3 and Richter has been a massive help towards my professional qualification”.

Ivik Masek, 48.3’s Technical Director has worked closely with Steven as his Lead Sponsor, and gave us a few words;

“Achieving professional status is not just about the letters after your name. The process improves your ‘Design Thinking’ ability and it’s a key component of high performing individuals. I’ve challenged Steve and pushed him outside his comfort zone to help him develop as an Engineer. He’s always put in the effort and the results speak for themselves. Very well-deserved Steve Benton IEng MICE”.

From everyone at 48.3 and Richter, huge well done Steven.
