Following the introduction of T levels in 2022, allowing students to complete a 9-week work placement in their area of study, Richter is proud to announce that our first T-level student, Jack Parnaby, has joined the team for his placement.

While working at Richter, Jack will be completing his academic training at Leeds College of Building which Richter has had a strong relationship with for several years.

“We are excited to welcome our first T-Level student and I hope that Jack will be the first of many joining us here at Richter. We hope that he will thrive in the workplace and gain practical experience with the skills and knowledge he developed at college. These are always great opportunities for both us and the students at the college and we feel very fortunate to be based close to the UK’s only college that specifically delivers construction-related courses so that we can play a part in their progression in the field”.

Jack will be working towards his T level in Design, surveying, and planning for construction. Alongside the guidance and functional skill learning from our team, he will learn engineering techniques which will help him with his future endeavors.

When we spoke to Jack he said “I am looking forward to my placement as it will help me to put into context my learning from college in real-life scenarios and expand my knowledge on construction methods.”

It is an exciting new venture for Richter, finding new ways to work with up-and-coming engineers who are passionate about working in this area.

We’re excited to have Jack on board and watch him grow as he begins his engineering career.
