Richter Shows Gratitude to it's Reservists.
In light of the forth coming Armed Forces Day celebrations, Richter would like to show its gratitude to all the men and women across the UK for their dedication and commitment to serving our country.
Celebrations begin today, when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country. Reserves Day soon follows on Wednesday 23rd June, with Saturday 26th being the main Armed Forces Day National Event.
At Richter, we have three Reservists, Colin Harwood, Michael Walsh, and Stuart Jackman. We also support regular soldiers such as Andrew Buglass, who is currently on secondment with us from the British Army, as we support him in achieving his Chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
Some of their experiences have seen them deployed to various locations across the UK and overseas, including the USA, Oman, Iraq and the Falklands. When we caught up with one of our guys they told us why they wanted to become a Reservist, and what it meant to them:
“I enjoy all aspects of my service and hope to achieve more. I joined for the adventurous opportunities, the physical tests and to give something back to my country”.
It gives us great pleasure to say we have Reservist within the Richter family and are proud of the experience and valuable lessons gained from the civilian construction sector, that get put into practice across the Armed Forces in the UK and overseas.
From the whole of the Richter team, thank you.
