Transmission Tower Foundations

Acting as designers for a D+B Contract we designed piled foundations for the current power transmission upgrade project. Working closely with the contractor Terrawise the designs had to accommodate both high compression and tension in difficult ground conditions. An innovative solution comprised driven steel tubular piles with micropiles, finished with reinforced concrete pilecaps.
